Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety (Cert IV WHS formerly known as "Occupational Health and Safety") is suitable for those working or wish to work in a work health and safety (WHS) role, who may or may not work under supervision.
The qualification (Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety) will allow you to provide leadership and guidance to others as well as developing, implementing and monitoring safety management systems relevant to the workplace.
Individuals who achieve this qualification (Cert IV in Work Health and Safety) would view succession or gaining employment in a wide range of safety related roles including co-ordinator, advisor or facilitator.
Participants can either enrol in the full certificate program or individual courses (Units - Refer to Modules below) to meet an identified requirement in the workplace.

Units of Competency for Cert IV in Work Health & Safety
There are no qualification pre-requisites but participants are required to have:
Basic ability to read, write and communicate in English
Basic computer skills.
Be a minimum of 18 years of age
Pre-Requisites for Certificate IV in Work Health & Safety
Upon Completion of all course requirements and displaying evidence of competence, a nationally recognised "BSB41412 Certificate IV Work Health and Safety" will be issued to the participant.
Upon completion of individual units of competency partipants will receive a "Statement of Attainment" which can be used for recognition of prior learning to achieve "Certificate IV Work Health and Safety" accreditation at a later date.

Module outcome: Understand and applying the WHS laws and regulations to your workplace.
To receive a certificate of Certificate IV Work Health and Safety the participant must complete all requirements of modules 1, 2 and 3. Approved RPL participants may be exempt from completing some of the modules to receive the Cert IV Work Health and Safety.

Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL)
The complaints and appeals policy of Logicus Training Solutions provides an avenue for students to address their complaints and appeals to Logicus Training Management and have them dealt with in a constructive and timely manner. Should you have a complaint or an appeal you will need to submit the complaint or appeal in writing to Logicus Training Solutions Management.
Complaints and Appeals
If you wish to cancel your enrolment more than 7 working days prior to course commencement you will be refunded 50% of fees paid. Cancellations inside 7 days before course commencement will receive no refund. Refunds will not be made to individuals or organisations where a person is booked into a course and fails to attend.
If you cannot attend a course for which you have enrolled in and paid for, a 20% transfer fee applies to any request for transfer where the notice period is less than 7 working days. If there is no notification made by an individual or organisation of transfer 7 working days prior to course commencement there is no refund or transfer of fees paid.
In the case of early withdrawal from the course no refund will apply.
If for any reason Logicus Training Solutions finds it necessary to cancel a course and a suitable transfer to an alternative course can not be made, you will receive a full refund of fees paid. Logicus Training will not be liable from any claims arising from course cancellations.
Logicus Training Solutions will only enrol students who have paid the required course fees in advance.

Logicus Training Solutions will only accept a minimum of $1000.00 student fees in advance of course commencement and will only enrol students who have paid the required course fees in advance.
Following course commencement fees required to be paid will not exceed $1500.00 for any part of course that is yet to be delivered.

RPL is a form of assessment that acknowledges skills and knowledge gained through:
Formal training conducted by industry or education
This can reduce the amount of learning required to achieve a qualification.
The main principle of RPL focuses on the outcomes of learning rather than when or where the learning occurred. Evidence of competency is collected by the participant and submitted to the nominated assessor and assessment is made based on the required industry standard within the relevant training package unit of competency.
If you believe this may apply to you for any part of the course, then you should request an application kit during the enrolment process.
If a student would like to pursue RPL they can apply for free at enrolment via an assessment interview where the candidate will be required to present evidence for the relevant units of competancy. Should the applicant choose to proceed, the following non-refundable fees apply:

$100 Per hour rate which includes:
- Time spent with assessor reviewing evidence you will be required to provide
- Time spent with assessor attending and observing practical demonstrations

A request for a copy of a Certificate or Statement of Attainment will incur a $50 administration fee in advance.
Request for Extension for Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety
A request for extension can be made in writing if the participant is unable to complete the course within the given timeframe.
A $100 request for extension fee applies and a new deadline will be negotiated between the participant and a Logicus Training Solutions representative.
Course Completion Guarantee
Once the participant has commenced study in their chosen course, Logicus Training will guarantee to complete the training and/or assessment of the course and will further negotiate the timing for completion of the course, if the student is unable to complete the course due to proof of illness or extenuating circumstances.

Logicus Training AQF qualifications and statements of attainment issued by any other RTO and communicates this recognition through its information provided to potential and enrolling students. Students may request credit for a whole unit or course based on study in a unit or course at another institution that is within the same Training Package.
Recognition of AQF Qualifications
Participants will be assessed in a number of ways as validation of their competence to achieve the qualification. (Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety). Most assessments will be completed in class time during the face to face workshops.
Methods of assessment may include:
Observation of candidate participation during training workshops
Ongoing assessments over duration of course modules which include knowledge questionnaires
Work based projects (post course assessment)
Logicus Training provides appropriate learning support to all students through its training and assessment delivery by applying reasonable adjustment to training and assessment where learning difficulties are experienced by the student.
Opportunities for re-assessment will be provided to assist a student to gain competency. However where successive re-assessments are provided and a student has not yet gained competency a repeat of training and assessment in any unit of competency will attract further course fees.
Upon completion of all assessment requirements by the candidate, an assessor will provide feedback and request additional evidence if required to assess competance and receive the Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety .

Currently, it is not possible for students to obtain a complete record of their VET enrolments and achievements. This is inconvenient not only for students and employers, but can also make it more difficult for training organisations to assess pre-requisites, credit transfer and Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL). Incomplete data about access to and use of the VET sector also inhibits the development of evidence-based VET programs.
AS of the 1st of January 2015 all participants enrolling in a Nationally Accredited training will require a USI. A USI is effectively an account or reference number made up of numbers and letters.
The USI will make it easier for students to find, collate and authenticate their VET achievements into a single transcript. It will also ensure that students’ VET records are not lost. The USI will be available online and at no cost to the student. This USI will stay with the student for life and be recorded with any nationally recognised VET course that is undertaken from when the USI comes into effect.
The USI initiative will:
Seamlessly link information about a student’s VET achievements, regardless of where they studied
Enable students to easily access secure digital transcripts of their achievements
