Unique student Identifyer (USI)

Currently, it is not possible for students to obtain a complete record of their VET enrolments and achievements. This is inconvenient not only for students and employers, but can also make it more difficult for training organisations to assess pre-requisites, credit transfer and Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL). Incomplete data about access to and use of the VET sector also inhibits the development of evidence-based VET programs.


AS of the 1st of January 2015 all participants enrolling in a Nationally Accredited training will require a USI. A USI is effectively an account or reference number made up of numbers and letters. 


The USI will make it easier for students to find, collate and authenticate their VET achievements into a single transcript. It will also ensure that students’ VET records are not lost. The USI will be available online and at no cost to the student. This USI will stay with the student for life and be recorded with any nationally recognised VET course that is undertaken from when the USI comes into effect.

The USI initiative will:

  • Seamlessly link information about a student’s VET achievements, regardless of where they studied

  • Enable students to easily access secure digital transcripts of their achievements

  • Give students access to, and more control over, their educational information

Terms and Conditions of Course Enrolment


Information Sharing


It is an obligation for information collected about you and your enrolment in this Registered Training Organisation (RTO) to be submitted to the Australian Government to inform the Government and its agencies about this RTO’s participation in the Vocational Educational Sector. The information is collected in accordance with the provisions of the Privacy Act 1988.The information collected will be maintained accurately and securely. This information will not be passed onto a third party unless a written authorisation is received from you. You may access this information freely on request.




A notification of your course enrolment will be emailed to you with a Participant information pack. This information will include:

  • Course details, including location and venue details

  • Policies and procedures of Logicus Training Solutions

  • Safety and clients requirements


Your commencement in the course you have enrolled in is dependant upon:

  • Sufficient enrolments in the course

  • Entry requirements being met

  • Availability of places in the course

  • Receival of required payment of course fees in advance.


 Refund Policy

If you wish to cancel your enrolment more than 7 working days prior to course commencement you will be refunded 50% of fees paid. Cancellations inside 7 days before course commencement will receive no refund. Refunds will not be made to individuals or organisations where a person is booked into a course and fails to attend.


If you cannot attend a course for which you have enrolled in and paid for, a 20% transfer fee applies to any request for transfer where the notice period is less than 7 working days. If there is no notification made by an individual or organisation of transfer 7 working days prior to course commencement there is no refund or transfer of fees paid.


In the case of early withdrawal from the course no refund will apply.


If for any reason Logicus Training Solutions finds it necessary to cancel a course and a suitable transfer to an alternative course cannot be made, you will receive a full refund of fees paid.


Logicus Training Solutions will only enrol participants who have paid the required course fees in advance.

 Complaints and Appeals

The complaints and appeals policy of Logicus Training Solutions provides an avenue for students to address their complaints and appeals to Logicus Training Management and have them dealt with in a constructive and timely manner. Should you have a complaint or an appeal you will need to submit the complaint or appeal in writing to Logicus Training Solutions Management.

 Course Completion Guarantee

Once the participant has commenced study in their chosen course, Logicus Training will guarantee to complete the training and/or assessment of the course and will further negotiate the timing for completion of the course, if the student is unable to complete the course due to proof of illness or extenuating circumstances.

 Recognition of AQF Qualifications

Logicus Training AQF qualifications and statements of attainment issued by any other RTO and communicates this recognition through its information provided to potential and enrolling students. Students may request credit for a whole unit or course based on study in a unit or course at another institution that is within the same Training Package.

Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL)

RPL is a form of assessment that acknowledges skills and knowledge gained through:

  • Formal training conducted by industry or education

  • Work experience

  • Life experience

This can reduce the amount of learning required to achieve a qualification.


The main principle of RPL focuses on the outcomes of learning rather than when or where the learning occurred. Evidence of competency is collected by the paticipant and submitted to the nominated assessor and  assessment is made based on the required industry standard within the relevant training package unit of competency.


If you believe this may apply to you for any part of the course, then you should request an application kit during the enrolment process.


If a student would like to pursue RPL they can apply for free at enrolment via an assessment interview, where the candidate will be required to present evidence for the relevant units of competency. Should the applicant choose to proceed, the following non-refundable fees apply:

  • $150 Application fee - Includes the initial assessment interview by a qualified assessor

  • $100 Per hour rate which includes:

                    - Time spent with assessor reviewing evidence you will be required to provide

                    - Time spent with assessor attending and observing practical demonstrations



Logicus Training provide ongoing email and phone support (during business hours) to all participants throughout the selected course.


Logicus can also provide one on one, face to face consultation at an hourly rate if requred:

  • First hour free

  • $100 per hour there after


Copy of Certificate


A request for a copy of a Certificate or Statement of Attainment will incur a $50 administration fee in advance.


Request for Extension


A request for extension can be made in writing if the participant is unable to complete the course within the given timeframe.


A $100 request for extension fee applies and a new deadline will be negotiated between the participant and a Logicus Training Solutions representative.

Payment Structure

Logicus Training Solutions will only accept a minimum of $1,000 student fees in advance of course commencement and will only enrol students who have paid the required course fees in advance.


Following course commencement fees required to be paid will not exceed $1,500 for any part of course that is yet to be delivered.


Full payment of course fees are required at course commencement
